Weekend Blessings

Giving thanks today for a weekend full of blessings!  I was able to slip away with a good friend to a Homeschool conference in Kansas City while Tim and the kids enjoyed a weekend together at home. 

Giving thanks to Him for the blessings He pours out day after day...

~A friend to drive to Kansas City with

~A few good speakers and words to inspire my thoughts

~Used books at a good price

~Hearing stories from home of lots of fun times... especially kite flying... making my heart smile!

~A cruise control that worked just when I needed it

~A weekend full of heartfelt conversation and words that blessed me over and over again

~Finding a new math curriculum to calm my fears about teaching her math

~New ideas and new curriculum to look through... and having the time to do it

~Finding alphabet letters that are magnets and even float for my little guy

~50% off sale... and having so much fun getting a few things we really didn't "need"

~Yummy food!

~Her wise words, guidance, and advice

~God's heart for the orphan

~My first run outside after a long winter

~Feeling inspired and encouraged that I CAN do this homeschool thing again next year

~A husband who takes all the kids to the Spring Game with their cousins... my hero!

~Chocolate and chocolate covered raisins

~Sitting and reading... and then reading some more... and then some more

~Two nights at a hotel

~Memorizing His Word

~Parenting wisdom

~my friend

~Showing him all my purchases... his love and support on this journey

~Coming home to a clean house

~The hugs and little words that came at me fast and furious from my precious little ones

~My husband... who calms my anxieties and is my rock... even when it's over swimming lessons... and stays up late to help me register

~Feeling refreshed and inspired... as a daughter to Him, a wife, a mama, a teacher, and a friend

Celebrating Him this Easter Weekend

Maker of the earth and sky
Ruler of the heavens

He has risen indeed!

Celebrating the joy of Easter with lots of family and cousins this last weekend.

Lots of eggs!  (and yes... every egg hunt we went on, Kallan would ONLY pick up GREEN eggs! Silly Boy!

These words were from a song that I played over and over the week before Easter... it really isn't a traditional "Easter" song, but I loved the words... and it turned my heart to worshiping the One who death could not contain!  The One who died for me.
