Sweet Dreams

There is something that melts me when I watch my little ones sleep.
Some things I don't ever want to forget....

His sweet cheeks, long eyelashes, and moppy hair...
The way he always snuggles his blankie
and how he loves to rub the edges in between his fingers...
How much she still loves her Bunny and Blankie...
and how she will sweetly tuck them in at night.
His green paci, how he gets so hot when he sleeps,
and how all of a sudden he looks so big in his crib.
Where did that little baby go?

Preschool - 2015

This little man graduated from preschool this May.
He is growing up way too fast for me!
I can't believe he'll be my kindergartner this fall!
He's so ready!
Kallan and his self portrait.
Notice the USA shirt he drew for himself...
Priceless!

His class getting ready to sing.

My graduate!
Bring on Kindergarten!
Celebrating with ice cream!
Friends.
Mrs. Knihal...
She has taught all three of my kidos for a total of almost six years of preschool.
She pours not only education into them... but Jesus into them.
I am so thankful for her and the fingerprints she has left on my children's lives.
We will miss not seeing her next year!

Yummy Toast

He's been having baby oatmeal for every single breakfast since he was around 6 months old.
We thought it was time to break the tradition.
Bring out a piece of toast with a sprinkle of cinnamon and sugar...

I think he liked it...

May Days

Some snapshots from our days this spring...

My artist... teaching Baylor about coloring.
Resurrection Rolls!
Making a special snack during school to celebrate Christ's resurrection
as we studied that event in Liam's history.
He makes me smile!

Morning snuggles!
Having a "dress up" tea party with two of my favorite people.
(note my scarf, Kallan's tie, and our fancy classes...)
My artist... making a mobile.

The story behind this.
I was putting Baylor down for a nap...
Kallan had to go to the bathroom but needed a little help with wiping afterwards.
Since it was going to be awhile, Ainsley set him up with a "coloring table", a flag printable, and the ipad so he could listen to the anthem of the country he was coloring.
This is what I came downstairs to...
I simply had to smile and capture a moment of time in this season of my life.
I will definitely miss this some day!

Yummy!
I love having a "baby" in the house.
Liam... conducting a little experiment of how an MRI works.
Gotta love school!

Liam, and his friend, Justin building an awesome sand fort and mote.
Shorts... no shoes... playing with water...
So thankful spring is finally here!

Piano Recital 2015

Liam had another great year of piano lessons.
This year he actually had a piano to practice on... which I think made a huge difference!

Liam and his best friend, Justin, played a duet together again this year.
They played a version of Yankee Doodle, and it was great!
What was even better was watching them play together.
It seriously melted my heart to watch them each time they practiced.
God has continued to develop a friendship between them which is a blessing for me to
watch. I'm so thankful for Justin and who he is in Liam's life.
I can see them being life-long friends.
Liam and his teacher, Mrs. Temple.
She is simply amazing. She loves Liam, pushes him, and challenges him.
She appreciates his spark and intensity.
She knows what will interest him and goes the extra mile to
make his experience of learning to play the piano an amazing one.
I'm so thankful for her!
The whole crew!
It was a great afternoon of piano and celebrating another great year.

Remembering...

For the last few years, we have gathered at my mom's sister's house to celebrate Easter with that side of the family on the Saturday before Easter.  My aunt and uncle have a great yard to hide eggs in as well as a place to relax and enjoy each other's company.  They also have this great swing in the middle of their landscaping that is the perfect place to take a great picture.  Over the years, I've tried to make it a tradition to capture my kids there.  It's fun for a mama to look back and see how our family has changed in just a few, short years.

Celebrating Easter

More Easter fun!
We were also able to celebrate Easter with my mom's side of the family at my aunt's house.
Sweetness right here...
Simply Precious.
Big brother always helping...
"This is how you do it Baylor..."
Grandma filled his eggs with puffs and yogurt bites...
Once he realized this... there was no stopping him!

My girl!

All the little cousins!
All the big cousins!
The littles with their Great Grandma Richert.
Ainsley was determined to make her great grandma a
birthday gift since we were celebrating her 95th birthday that day too.
She researched some You Tube craft videos and decided on an
Easter Egg wreath.  She was SO excited to give it to great grandma!
Great Grandma was excited to receive a special gift made just for her from her great-granddaughter.
She worked so hard on this, and it turned out great!
So proud of her!
Happy Easter!
