So, when you are a homeschooling mama, with a child who has a birthday days before school starts, and a husband that traveled every week the month of August, once August actually hit, I was in survival mode. Blog? What Blog? I'm lucky enough to feed the baby, get clean clothes on my kids, and get the sink of dirty dishes emptied out at least once a week. July quickly became a distant memory, and we just started taking one day at a time. But, I don't want to forget some of the sweet moments from that month. So here's a little recap on our month and what I can remember from it. ~smile~
We started our month with a family vacation over the 4th of July with my parent's and brother's family in the amazing resort town of Omaha, Nebraska!
Lighting fireworks... this can be nothing but trouble!
My brother's birthday is the 4th of July, and it's been years since I've been with him to celebrate it! So fun to celebrate him and watch him enjoy his beloved fireworks!
Baylor changed from little baby to just baby this month... getting so big!
He will pretty much put up with anything his siblings do to him!
Learning to sit...
His signature move.... I think he thinks that he harder he kicks his legs... eventually he WILL go somewhere. It is one of my favorite things to watch and it makes me giggle every time!
The first time I came into the room and he wasn't on the blanket where I left him... uh-oh!
Cooking with my little buddy!
This is when the upcoming school year gets real....
Summer supper on the deck.
Tim and Liam headed off to Lexington, NE for a six day mission trip with our church, so I was home with the rest of the crew. This meant picnic lunches every day... just because!
The Lexington group from our church... parents and their children!
Tim leading his small group of kids at the VBS they did in Lexington.
A neighborhood bike wash in our driveway... so much fun!
His camera...
Lots of playing house with these two...
Happy boy! Tummy Time!
Good Friends + Sling Shots = Perfect Day for Liam
This boy would be on his bike riding around all day if we let him!
Brothers.
The story was they got stuck in a blizzard with all their children and couldn't get out.
I think Ainsley just enjoyed trapping in Kallan so he had to keep playing with her.
Fun days. Full days. Enjoying the season of our life.
