Having fun in California

In February, Tim and I were able to get away with Kallan for a weekend in Los Angeles to visit our friends.  When you live your winters in a state like Nebraska, a weekend of sunshine, blue skies, and feeling the warmth of the sun on your skin is indescribable!  Even though it was a quick trip out and back, we had so much fun and made so many memories.
Tim and I were able to tour Sony Picture Studios, and we had fun touring the lot and learning more about the process of producing movies and TV shows. This was the place where Dorothy clicked her ruby red shoes together, where so many different movies and shows have been made, and where you can see the studio sets of Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. We had a great time!

On Saturday, Kara arranged a play date at the beach with some of her friends and their kids... Kallan had a blast, and it deserves a whole post of it's own!
One evening we walked around Culver City, had some great food, and the boys had fun getting out and about.
Before we flew home, we did a little hiking, and at the top you could get a great view of Los Angeles.  It was a perfect day and the sights were amazing!

Definitely one of the best weekends we could have had!  Thanks to great friends, lots of sunshine, and having lots of fun doing the "you can't do this in Nebraska" things all weekend long.
