Last weekend, Ainsley had her 2nd dance recital! Of course it came on the heels of my week out at camp (literally rehearsal was an hour after I got back into town...), but we made it through, and it was a fun and enjoyable experience for my girl!
This year Ainsley was in a dance class of two... awesome because of the personal teaching attention and the ability to do so much with them in each class. Not so great because if one was sick or gone, it made for a class of one... which is never fun.
The recital "theme" was all 80's songs, and this year Ainsley got to tap dance to every one's favorite song... Don't Worry, Be Happy! Too fun! And their costumes were super cute too!
(Thank goodness they were cute, because I have "issues" with feathers and glitter)

What a beautiful girl!
Of course I forgot my camera the day of the rehearsal (remember... camp brain!)
so I have no pictures of her up on stage... but I did get a picture of the two classes together the
day of the recital! Definitely a bunch of super cute and sweet girls!
Ainsley and Brynn... we were so blessed to meet her family and spend the year at
lessons with them! It was also a blessing to see these two become such good friends!
Crazy Girls! I was a stage mom for their group, so we did lots of hanging out together back stage!
Sofia (middle) was actually in Ainsley's dance class last year at our old studio. We were super happy to meet up with her again this year, and it was fun to see them dancing together again side-by-side at the recital.
And of course we had to celebrate afterwards with frozen yogurt!
Both sets of grandparents were able to come watch Ainsley dance,
(sitting 2 hours for her 2 minutes and 20 seconds of glory).
That is true love and deserves a big bowl of dessert! :)
Ainsley was so excited to get special flowers from Grandma Kate and excited that
Grandma Sue wore a shirt that matched her costume perfectly!
A little gift from Mama and Papa for our sweet girl!

Ainsley, we are so proud of you and the
courage you had to get up on that big stage and dance
in front of so many people! You did amazing and we definitely
love our Dancing Girl!
