This girl... what am I going to do with her and her love for horses?
Ainsley started taking riding lessons this last spring and continued all through the summer.
To say she enjoyed them would be an understatement!
The stables where she rides had a little "Horse Recital" to end the fall lessons.
She was so excited, and as she told us "a little nervous".
Her teacher said they could dress up in costumes for when they parade in on the horses.
We didn't think the Elsa dress would be the best choice to ride in...
so we went for a little pioneer girl complete with braids. Too cute!
Grandpa and Grandma Hodges surprised Ainsley by showing up to watch her.
Parading in on the horses. Ainsley chose to ride in on Cowboy.
She really likes Cowboy because he's a big, brown horse... one like she would like to have some day.
*wink* She was so serious riding in... she wouldn't look at me for anything!
Waiting for her turn...
The flag game... holding onto flags while riding the horse through the course...
then dropping them in the bucket at the end.
Walking over the poles with her teacher beside her.
It was a beautiful day... and so fun to watch my girl ride.
The quiet confidence, poise, and control she shows when riding the horses is something so
special for me to see. Where this love for horses came from... I'm not so sure...
but I don't think it is going anywhere soon.
