The Flu 2015

It hit on a Friday.
After playing out in the snow, Liam wasn't looking too well.
By the time we put him to bed he had a fever.
By the time 5:00 AM on Saturday rolled around, all four children had
gotten up during the night with fevers.
By the time I woke up and started to get the day going... the fever had struck me as well.

Five of us... sick... for 7 days.
Really sick.
Influenza B had struck.
It was a week we soon won't forget.

Of course this was the week before Valentine's day...
So everyone missed their homeschool or preschool Valentine parties.
But thanks to kind friends, we were able to still send the boxes
they made and give out Valentines to friends.

Liam designed and made his own box.  It ended up winning 1st place
at our Homeschool Coop contest. He was thrilled!
Ainsley also made her own box (with a little help from Pinterest and mom...)
Kallan and mama designed this one.
World on the top... flags on the bottom.
100% Kallan!
It wasn't our typical Valentine's week... but by the time the 14th came around,
I was feeling well enough to make our traditional cookie
and everyone had their appetites back and wanted our traditional pizza.
Some traditions even the flu can't keep away!
Happy Valentine's Day!
